Over the past week our national debt has been increasing with leaps and bounds and it hasn’t been more visible than on the National Debt Clock on Sixth Avenue in New York City.
This sign features fourteen spaces that can accommodate thirteen numbers and a dollar sign, but due to the debt reaching ten trillion, the dollar sign had to be replaced by a one.
And in a depressing move, the current owner of the sign will be replacing the sign to make room for more debt.
How much do you want to bet that the new clock will be bigger, more expensive and paid for using credit?
