The game Fallout 3 by Bethesda Software is getting a little publicity lately when a piece of their concept art appeared on an al Quaeda-affiliated, password protected website in a video called “Nuclear Jihad: The Ultimate Terror”.
An intelligence services contractor called SITE Intel Group discovered the video and was reported by a UK publication to have mistaken the photos as pictures generated by terrorists.
SITE refuted the claim by pretty much saying they never said it was created by terrorists, only posted by them.
Either way, the game company should be either mighty proud of their work or nervous about their product catering to terrorism. And the people who mistook it…should start playing more video games.
Next thing you know, Halo’s Spartans will be the next units sent over to the war in Iraq.
